Kids’ Camp

This action packed camp offers fun for everyone!  Camp is held during the Saline Area Schools summer, winter and spring breaks.  Mini-camps are held on various "no-school" days throughout the school year.    Click here for Winter Kids Camp Flyer.    Click here for Fun Day Mini Camp flyer.

Ages: 5-12 years

Camp Hours: The camp is open from 7am – 6pm Monday thru Friday. Drop off and pick up is flexible. We encourage campers to arrive by 9am so that they don’t miss any of the great activities.

Daily Activities: Each week we will explore a new theme through exciting games, crafts, sports, special events and activities. We swim daily and take a field trip every Wednesday. The Saline Rec Center, our home base at Tefft Park, has so much to offer campers: nature trails, tennis courts, sand volleyball, disc golf, soccer field, ball fields, outdoor pavilion, indoor gymnasium, full aquatics center, art room, table tennis, and more! There is truly something for kids hanging out poolsideeveryone.

Camper Groups and Staff: Campers are placed in groups of no more than 10 based on their age. Each group is led by a trained senior counselor with assistance from a junior counselor. All staff are Red Cross CPR, AED, First Aid and Basic Water Rescue certified. They go through a thorough screening process including background check. Staff also complete a 30 hour training program.

Registration Options: Parents are given the flexibility to register for a full week of camp at a discounted rate or to sign up for individual days as needed. 

Discounts: We know that money is tight and that is why we offer a dynamic program at a great value. Save $15 per week with our Early Bird Discount.  You much register and pay for camp 2-weeks prior to the start of your camp week.   We also offer a sibling discount on weekly registrations. Pay full price for one child and receive $15 off for each additional sibling for the same week of camp.


Registration Deadline: The deadline to register for camp is the Friday before the start of each week of camp by 8:30 pm. Late registrations will be accepted only if space is available. There is a $25 late registration fee that will be assessed on weekly rates and a $5 late registration fee on daily rates.

Refund Policy: Parents/guardians must notify Saline Parks & Recreation prior to 7am on Monday if a camper needs to be taken out of camp and a refund issued for that week. There is a $10 administration fee assessed for each refund. After 7am on Monday, there will be no refunds issued on weekly or daily registrations.
